Côte d’Azur trip

Hi!! How was your week?
Today a summary of our trip through the South of France, the Côte d’Azur. We spent five days visiting beautiful towns, beaches and mountains. We started the trip by plane from Madrid to Marseille where we rented a car and continued to the region of St. Tropez.

Picture of Old Port of Marseille from the plane.
Marseille, the second largest city in France, is the most important commercial port of Provence, France and the Mediterranean, and is the third largest port in Europe.
The route starts in Ramatuelle with its many stunning vineyards such as Domaine La Rouillère.

We also came across this windmill near Ramatuelle from the eighteenth century.

The old port of St. Tropez, great for a walk at night and to have an aperitif in one of the cafés located in front of the yachts, a classic being Senequier.

St.Tropez-Puerto

Luxury in abundance but also traditional places where you dine well at a reasonable price. We peeked into the kitchen of this Italian restaurant that makes all their pastas by hand.

The streets are charming around the square near to the port and there is a famous market on Sunday morning on La Place des Lices where they sell food and clothing items.

Cassis owes its name to a mulberry-like plant that produces a distinctive liquor, used in the classic Kir.

And if you do not have vertigo you must drive from Cassis along the legendary corniches that span in both directions along the coast. The views are spectacular.
