Hello!! How’s your summer going? I imagine that many of you have started your holidays, at the beach, in the mountains or just around the city enjoying a few days off. Next weekend we go to the south of Spain for a few days, and I will post from there including some recommendations about places to visit.
Today’s look is very summer, as I said in a previous post, at this time of year I love wearing super comfortable jumpsuits and long dresses for their boho style, ideal for summer.
I rescued this dress from two seasons ago, bought at ZARA and every year different stores sell similar dresses, being a basic in every wardrobe. On this beige color dress it’s easy to match with any sandals or wedges.
Added accessories are a brown leather belt and a vintage ethnic bag, also recovered from long ago.
Coral and beige CASTAÑER wedges.
For makeup I used these two new palettes, MAKE UP REVOLUTION with different shades for contouring blush and eye shadows.
I hope you like the outfit. HAPPY SUMMER!!
Hi!!! How was your weekend? It’s been a few days since I’ve made a post, since I’ve been on holiday. Those of you who follow me on social networks (@FriendlytMadrid) have already seen some photos of the trip, and very soon I’ll tell you more. 🙂
Today’s look is highlighted by these shorts by ZARA from last season. Initially, I thought I wouldn’t get much use from them since they are made of bright shiny leather, however, in reality they’re easy to match so easy to wear, even during the day.
I combined them with a check long sleeved blouse from MANGO, blue vintage belt and beige suede sandals from ZARA. Sunglasses by Jimmy Choo.
A few days ago I visited Privilege Dental at Lorena Morlote, Calle Velázquez, 69 Madrid and had my teeth whitened. The treatment consisted of 35% hydrogen peroxide for 30 minutes with instant results. It’s safe for your teeth and gums but you may notice temporary sensitivity.
How was your weekend?
We’re in the wedding season, with baptisms and first communions, and this past Saturday I attended the first communion of my nephew. Here is the look that I chose.
Being a daytime ceremony, the most appropriate outfit is a cocktail dress and in Spring, best to wear soft colors, pastel, white silver, and try to avoid black in daytime events and celebrations.
I wore this dress by Angel Schlesser that combines white and silver, sleeve to the elbow and straight but adapted to the body. You can rent this dress at dresseos.com
Silver sandals from Jimmy Choo, black sunglasses by Tom Ford, and silver handbag with pailletes from Yokana.
What do you think of this look? I would love to know your opinion!

For today´s look I have chosen some of this Spring-Summer season’s trends (ethnic style, gladiator sandals and a fringe skirt).
White fringe skirt from SFERA and ZARA belt.
Gladiator sandals from ZARA.
From one outfit create different styles by changing accessories, adding a belt, necklace, sandals or different bag.
Ethnic style or a little more sophisticated with this bronze bag from BIMBA Y LOLA and wedge sandals.
What do you think of today’s look? Have a great sunday!
One of the Spring-Summer trends is ethnic style. We have already seen this trend with clothing, decoration, art. In fashion the key characteristics are intense colors, frayed fabrics and fringes. Often fabrics or materials from Africa and India.
We suggest this look with an ethnic pull over in burgundy, black and white, with some fringe. (ZARA)
Combined with a black leather skirt, this mix of clothing gives a different touch to the outfit. (ZARA)
Beige wedges. (ZARA)
Bag also in beige. (The Lunch Bag)
Black sunglasses. (Jimmy Choo)
These photos were taken in the garden of the College of Architects of Madrid (COAM) C/Hortaleza, 63 Madrid.
Inside the COAM garden there is an Italian restaurant, Bosco de Lobos, with a bar and outdoor terrace.
What do you think of this look? Do you like ethnic style?
On the occasion of the upcoming FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014, Encuentros Bazar organized a special event, Wednesday, May 28th at the Embassy of Brazil in Madrid. This was second event we attended organized by Encuentros Bazar. The first was last month with designer Guillermina Baeza which we wrote about in an earlier post.
The twentieth edition of the World Cup, will take place between June 12 and July 13, and will be the second time this sporting event takes place in Brazil.
We had the opportunity to talk with Ambassador Paulo César de Oliveira Campos about sports, tourism, fashion, and gastronomy, and his love for Madrid.
The ambassador wanted to emphasize that visitors to Brazil for the World Cup should be aware that Brazil is much more than Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. Less well known places such as Praia de Pipa, Chapada Diamantina, San Miguel, Jericocoara and Trancoso are well worth a visit.
The ambassador also highlighted the quality of life in Madrid, the fact Madrid is well connected, with great transport and infrastructure, parks and gardens, cultural and leisure offerings, excellent restaurants, making Madrid a very pleasant city in which to live.
The Brazilian Embassy is located in a classical town house in the elegant Almagro district of Madrid, and retains antique furniture.
My look for the event, a white blazer by Mango, a blue dress by Zara, bag by Bimba y Lola and Jimmy Choo sandals.
