The 49th edition of Casa Decor was recently held in the previous headquarters of the Official College of Architects of Madrid (COAM). Built in 1875, the impressive building at 12 Barquillo Street, has 4,400 square feet on four floors with recessed balconies.
Architecture, and more specifically, interior architecture has been the active ingredient, the motivation and the ultimate goal of Casa Decor during its 22 years of existence: transforming interiors to demonstrate solutions for housing and the use of cutting-edge materials.
Casa Decor is a window into the homes of the future, and a launching pad for leading professionals across the country to display their work.
Casa Decor has also helped to highlight the urban architecture of Madrid, not only transforming, but also showing the public unique and architectural wealth that remained hidden to outsiders.
More than eighty professionals (interior designers, architects, designers and artists) took advantage of the infinite possibilities of this unique building; their imagination captured in the 54 exhibition spaces with surprising and innovative designs that advance the field of interior decoration.
