Visiting Los Angeles
The largest and most heavily populated city in California was our pick for the Easter weekend.
In this post we show you some sights and places to visit for your next trip in LA.
We started with a visit of Beverly Hills and the amazing houses where many famous actors live.
Hollywood Boulevard with its tribute to actors and the Kodak Theatre where the Oscars are held.
The Getty Center where you can see great exhibitions in addition to stunning architecture by Richard Meier. The grounds and the panoramic view of Los Angeles from the top floor alone are worth the visit.
Rodeo Drive, where you can see the shops of the most exclusive fashion brands.
Farmer’s Market and The Grove in Fairfax to have something to eat in one of the many stalls in the covered market and do some shopping in the adjoining plaza.
Venice is known for the charming canals and its beach boardwalk. Here you can also find some of the trendiest restaurants in the city such as Gjelina.
Next to Venice is Santa Monica, a popular tourist destination but worth a visit to the beach. Have brunch at the beautiful Shutters hotel next to the beach.
Joshua Tree & Living Desert
We want to share with you two beautiful natural areas to explore in Southern California.
Joshua Tree National Park
The park is situated 140 miles (225 km) to the east of Los Angeles, 75 miles (282 km) northeast of San Diego and 215 miles (346 km) southwest of Las Vegas. The closest airport is Palm Springs.
There are 12 nature trails to visit, with varying lengths and difficulty. It is also possible to just drive through the park and take in the spectacular views. On clear days, the view from the top of Keys View extends until Mexico. This 20 minute excursion by car is well worth the detour.
If you have more than a day to spend in the park, there are many options for camping. The park has 10 mountains of more than 5,000 feet (1,524 m) in height. It is also possible to explore the five palm oasis in the park.
A beautiful place to enjoy nature and pleasant and invigorating walks or hikes.
Living Desert Zoo & Botanical Gardens
Situated 20 mintues from Palm Springs, the Living Desert is a excellent place to see all types of animals from North Ameriica, Africa, Asia, Australia, with a special emphasis on birdlife.
The aim of the Living Desert is to preserve a portion of the Colorado Desert in its natural state, promote the appreciation of animals and plants in their native ecosystems, protect animals in risk of extinction, and create education programs and biological studies.

Anthony Vaccarello, the new celebrity designer
If we could dream for a moment and choose a sexy design to go to a party, without a doubt, we would choose the young designer Anthony Vaccarello http://www.anthonyvaccarello.com
Born September 4th, 1982 in Brussels, Belgium of Italian descent, he was awarded at the Hyeres Festival in 2006 and then spent two years working at Fendi with Karl Lagerfeld. In 2008 Vaccarello founded his own brand under his own name.
Vaccarello’s designs are very feminine, emphasizing curves. His dresses are often asymmetric, with rocker style, using leather, metal and colors such as white, black and red.
And these are our favorites:
What do you think about these dresses? Would you dare to wear them?
